The Carrier Dome box office confirmed Friday that the Zac Brown Band will perform in the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.

The Carrier Dome Twitter account, @CarrierDome44, tweeted Friday afternoon announcing the performance.

Both the tweet and the Carrier Dome website indicate that tickets will go on sale Saturday, July 28, at 10 a.m. online and at the box office.

Pete Sala, managing director of the Carrier Dome, could not be reached for comment.

WOLF-FM, a country station in Syracuse, announced the concert on its website Monday, but it was not confirmed by Live Nation or listed on the band’s website, according to a July 16 Daily Orange article. The concert was still in its planning stages at the time.

The two-time Grammy Award-winning band topped the Billboard 200 chart in 2010 with its “You Get What You Give” album, according to the band’s website. The band’s first major-label album release, “The Foundation,” was named one of Billboard’s Top 20 albums of 2009. Zac Brown’s Band has nine consecutive No. 1 hit singles.
