For music listeners across the globe, 2024 was a jam-packed year. It brought us new phenomena like “brat summer” and astounding live performances from the biggest names in the music industry.

While new artists like Chappell Roan and Benson Boone emerged into the limelight, musical powerhouses like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish continued to dominate charts and streaming services worldwide with new releases.

Spotify’s “Spotify Wrapped” gives listeners the ability to glance over their year’s worth of music listened to. Wrapped produces statistics on users’ most streamed songs, top artists and the amount of time they spent listening.

The highly-anticipated musical recap, released to users on Dec. 4, was met with the typical fanfare. Users shared their statistics via social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok and X.

For listeners in the United States, a few artists and songs showed up more frequently than others. According to Spotify, the top artists in the country included Taylor Swift, Drake, Zach Bryan and Morgan Wallen. The top songs included “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar and “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey.
