Syracuse guard Tyus Battle has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week. He averaged 23 points and four rebounds per game across the Orange’s (5-2) two wins last week.

At then-No. 16 Ohio State last Wednesday, Battle played all 40 minutes. He finished with 20 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the floor and 7-for-8 from the foul line.

Then on Saturday against Cornell, Battle led the Orange with 26 points on 10-for-17 from the field. He made four 3-pointers, as well.

Battle has moved himself to No. 43 on the all-time Syracuse scoring list, a point behind Arinze Onuaku. The Orange are in action next on Tuesday against Northeastern.
