Crime briefs: Dec. 27-Jan. 11

Here is a roundup of criminal activity that occurred near campus this weekend and during winter break, according to a Syracuse police bulletin.

A Syracuse man, 59, was arrested for loitering.

When: Wednesday at 4:51 p.m.

Where: 135 Marshall Street, in front of Panda West

A Liverpool man, 39, was arrested for disorderly conduct and for violating the New York Vehicle and Traffic Law for proceeding into the path of a motor vehicle, according to a police report. Police received a complaint of a man at the Marshall Street Starbucks acting belligerent, refusing to leave and bothering customers. Officers arrived on Marshall Street to find the man stumbling into the road and into people on the sidewalk before sitting down on the curb. The man appeared to be intoxicated, according to the police report.



When officers approached him, the man told them to, “Get the f*ck away from me.” An officer handcuffed him and led him back to the police car. The man tried to kick the officer but was “too intoxicated” to do so. After being arrested, the man continued to be belligerent during booking and was placed in solitary confinement, according to the police report.

The owner of Shirt World and an employee at J. Michael Shoes also told police they saw the man stumbling around Marshall Street and acting belligerent, according to the police report.
