Dawson commits to Syracuse, becomes ninth recruit in Orange’s Class of 2014
Lamar Dawson verbally committed to Syracuse Saturday night.
The three-star cornerback announced his decision via Twitter.

Dawson also received offers from Cincinnati, Michigan State, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois, among others.
Listed at 6 feet, 190 pounds, the St. Rita High School (Chicago) corner is SU’s seventh defensive commit for the Class of 2014 and ninth overall.
He is the second defensive back commit in the class, and the highest-rated, above two-star safety Rodney Williams.
